Ecobio and SLU sign a major chemical management software agreement
Ecobio has signed a major software agreement in Sweden with the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, SLU. The agreement strengthens the international growth of Ecobio Manager and supports the software’s continuous development.
Ecobio continues to strengthen its position in the Nordic and European markets. The new agreement with SLU is an important step for the company in the Swedish market and one of Ecobio’s largest international software deals to date. Ecobio’s solutions are already used by more than 200 organisations across the Nordics and Europe.
A centralised solution for chemical management – developed by experts for experts
SLU will implement the full chemical management suite of Ecobio Manager, which supports organisations in managing chemical data, inventories, risk assessments and ensuring that safety data sheets (SDS) remain up to date. The software brings chemical-related information together in one system and supports organisations in systematic, safe and legally compliant chemical management.
“The Swedish market is strategically important for us, and our collaboration with SLU is a strong demonstration that Ecobio Manager also meets the needs of large university and research organisations. Chemical management requires robust processes, transparency and reliable data — and these are precisely the needs our software, developed over nearly 15 years, is designed to address,” says Jesse Maula, CEO of Ecobio.
Universities, higher education institutions, research organisations and healthcare operators are an important target group for Ecobio. In these organisations, the use of chemicals can be extensive, decentralised and operationally critical, highlighting the importance of centralised chemical management, up-to-date safety information and risk management. In addition to chemical management, Ecobio also provides these organisations with other solutions for sustainability, compliance and emissions calculation.
Smoother operations with less manual work
“In the day-to-day operations of universities and healthcare organisations, chemical management must be reliable, practical and scalable. Our goal is to help our customers manage chemicals, safety and regulatory requirements with quality, less manual work, and an effortless user experience. Ecobio’s expertise and experience, as well as the development of chemical management functionalities in line with SLU’s needs, were key factors in the final choice,” summarises Malena Weurlander, Senior Sales and Account Manager at Ecobio.
Weurlander has worked closely with SLU over the past year to ensure that the proposed software covers all of the organisation’s needs and requirements.
